ICC
In today’s ICC meeting, we discussed a topic of tremendous interest but one that also challenges us:
leadership.
Why do we say interesting? It is because leadership relates to our daily lives. At the same time it is challenging, because a leader’s policies have a great bearing on the life of each individual within the group.
For this reason, several characteristics of leadership were put forward in this meeting for reflection and as a guide for each individual:
- Unconditional, compassionate love for the ones you lead
- Authenticity, to serve with honesty and sincerity
- Humbleness
- Empowerment of the ones you lead
- Providing direction, the ability to forge ahead with initiative
- Stewardship, the ability to make sustained provision for the needs of members in the long term
- Listening
- Moderation
- Gentleness
- Diligence
