Our Religious Community in Santa Rita is located in the Heitel Santiago neighbourhood in the Círio de Nazareth Community which belongs to the São Pedro and São Paulo/Tibiri Parish, where the sisters Joérica and Kardene live. In our community, in addition to daily prayers (personal and community), we also have a monthly day of prayer in our agenda, to strengthen our faith and our journey as religious, especially during this time of pandemic. These moments are very significant, considering that sharing only enriches us. Also part of our weekly schedule is a day of community study, following the Ongoing Formation Plan.

In accordance with the ongoing formation plan, we continue  actively participating in formations offered either at national or local level, which are considered a priority, such as: The meetings offered by the Province of Brasil (personal); the Vocation Ministry Meetings (Sister Joérica); Academic studies (Sister Joérica), English classes (Sister Lusinete); the CRB (Conference of Religious of Brasil)Meetings (national and local - online); the Intercongregational encounters; the New Generations Meetings and the Meetings of A Cry for Life Network, we seek to be attentive to what can help us as people and strengthen us as religious, with a constant eye on the themes offered.

At the Dom Hélder Câmara Association, in Bayeux, where our Social Works are located, we Sisters (Joérica and Lusinete) give our contribution for two days a week according the local needs, mainly in the two schools (the school Mother of Mercy and the Centre Educational Mother Michele). We are always open and available to contribute in whatever way we can, joining forces with the Sisters who live in Bayeux helping each other.

In the Pastoral Ministry, we Sisters are present in the Liturgical Pastoral, in Community Meetings, in Mother and Child-care, as well as supporting the Movement of Mercy, Youth and Adults and Associates who also live in our Neighbourhood. With the Youth of the Movement of Mercy we work on the four axes: Spirituality, Formation, Action and Mission. With the adult Movement, we have a follow up every two weeks, with prayer together, here in Heitel. In Várzea Nova and Santa Rita we try to provide monthly assistance. Regarding our presence in the community, it still does not happen personally because of the pandemic, as well as the meetings with the Youth and Adult of the Movement of Mercy. At the moment we use social networks to facilitate our contacts and continuing our plans.

We are also present in popular struggles, as a way to support the people, whether in small struggles, claims, being present at demonstrations, in addition to being our duty, in this struggle and we have hope for a better future for all. For example, Pilgrimage of the Earth, Women's Day 8 of March, Black Awareness Day, Day of Fight against Sexual Abuse and Human Trafficking and the Cry of the Excluded.

In fact, we always try to be present in the people's defences, however, because of the pandemic, it is not possible. We try to do what we can, as we use the ways of communication, as instruments that facilitate access to the people with whom we had not personal contacts, but we hope that these difficult times will soon pass in personal contacts and all our activities together with the local religious community as well the events in defence of people's lives.
